Yuuri Akatsuki is Chika and Momoka's dad, who was from Europe. He's very affectionate, cheerful and pretty. He calls his children "my little squirrels" and gives them lots of hugs. Momoka is indifferent, but Chika gets annoyed. Yuuri doesn't know the real reason why Chika is living at the dorms or that he is a zombie. He wants Chika to go home, but he doesn't try to force Chika to return.

Momoka Akatsuki is Chika's little sister and Yuuri's daughter. She's not very talkative and spends more of her time texting on her cell phone. Though Chika is obsessed with his "cute little sister", Momoka hardly pays any attention to him, or anyone else.

A golem girl who Snow and Mikari call "Golem-chan", her official name is not revealed and everything seems to indicate she didn't have one.

Golem-chan was made by Yoshizumi from pieces of corpses. Unlike most his other golems, this one is kind and gentle. She took care of Shito, formed a friendship with him, and a fascination with his comb (a memento from his mother).

She's sweet, innocent and child-like. She's not too used to interacting with people, but she tries her best to take care of Shito during his captivity in Yoshizumi's hideout, despite making a few mistakes such as feeding him moldy bread.

Golem-chan's story is tragic, she was mistreated by Yoshizumi, almost absorbed by his other mutant creation Phalax, was ultimately killed by Nogi, just when she had finally been rescued by Shito. Though Zarame claims that she was only a moving corpse, Shito asserts that she did have a soul and makes a grave for her.

Koume is not an ordinary human, though not much is revealed about her, she's most likely from the other shore. She works at a newspaper stand where the Z-Loan team go to find Zarame, whom she calls "Master Zarame." Koume has the ability to understand Chibi Zarame and is amazed when she realizes that Michiru can understand him too.

Her connection to the reaper is not detailed, but it is doubtful that she's a zombie since it is mentioned that Zarame sometimes tries to reap legal zombies and Koume shows no worries being around Zarame. She's generally quiet and calm.
