Zombie Loan Payment 9: Living Corpse

Shito is still missing and Chika can't go zombie hunting without him, since he needs to switch hands. Toho arrives at the Z-Loan office and reveals that he is from the mafia and Shito was kidnapped.

Shito is being held captive at Yoshizumi's hideout. He has a large wound in his stomach, covered in bandages. A golem girl with pink hair, blue eyes and skin in different tones as if she was put together from pieces of different people, enter Shito's room with a pair of scissors.

We learn that Shito was already dead in the accident six months ago where he and Chika became zombie partners due to Bekko switching their hands. Toho calls Shito and monster and Chika is angered. He tried to attack Toho but Toho's magic is too powerful.

It turns out the golem girl whom I shall call Golem-chan, was not going to attack Shito, she only wanted to change his bandages. Both Shito and Chika start to feel their right hands starting to rot because they have been apart for too long. Yoshizumi tried to get Shito to talk about something called the Corpse Release spell but Shito says he doesn't know.

On their way back to the dorms, Chika and Michiru are attacked by magical paper monsters, sent by Toho. Another Z-Loan zombies, Sotetsu saves them. He has red hair, travels in a motorcycle, wears an eye patch and his weapon is an axe.

Sotetsu, Chika and Michiru head back to the dorm and have dinner. Sotetsu likes to travel all over the world trying different dishes. We also learn that even if Yomi likes Michiru, Koyomi likes Sotetsu.

Golem-chan tries to take care of Shito but she's not very good at it, nearly choking him with water, and making him eat moldy bread. The next day, Michiru, Sotetsu and Chika (being dragged by Sotetsu) leave school early and return to the Z-Loan office where Yuuta bandages Chika's hand to prevent it from falling.

Bekko reveals that the first time he saw Shito was the 19th century and he looked the same since he was a zombie even then. Chika was the one who actually died in the accident six months ago. Bekko claims that switching their hands was a mistake, though given Shito's situation it can be interpreted as intentional, but Bekko doesn't officially admit to anything, he only claims it was a mistake; he seems to know a lot about the Xu Fu though he warns Chika that even if he is telling the truth, he will not tell the entire truth.

Sotetsu and Michiru offer to go with Chika to rescue Shito and Bekko offers a bonus of 100,000 yen to each one if they bring Shito back. The three speed away on Sotesu's motorcycle and Chika tells them that he doesn't care about the secret and his main motivation is money, Michiru thinks he's very frank saying like that.
