Zombie Loan Manga 1
Note: This is very much just a smushing of episode one and two together. XD I'm sorry, I'm not lazy, they were just that close.
Michiru Kita is your average, shy, easily bullied into doing what you want kind for girl. She arrives on the scene with an armful of goodies for her friend’s lunch only to trip on something and drops everything. As she goes to pick everything up she notices two mysterious boys - one is irritated and the other is quite sweet, telling her that it is alright and even helps her pick things up. After being told her glasses are off center Michiru speeds up picking up her dropped items and rushes back down the hallway.
Michiru is late on her way to her friends where they scold her. Despite being her friends, they give her a hard time, tearing her down by calling her spacey and a klutz. When Michiru gets ready to get up to get the missing item, the two boys from earlier show up and save her by dropping it into her lap. With a smile, she is told to be more careful.
Once the boys leave Michiru's friends start asking about A-kun and B-kun, only to find out those two boys had been in a car accident and their names were never released to the public due to their age; A-kun is introduced as Shito Tachibana, an idol to the girls at the school. While B-kun is introduced as Chika Akatsuki, described as not coming to school and being unapproachable.
For spacing out in the story, Michiru's friends steal her glasses. She starts to freak out. She looks in the direction of Shito and Chika while trying to find her glasses and notices black rings around their necks - she faints in the shock. In the hall, Shito gives Chika a scolding and a hand.
Michiru wakes up in the nurses office to overhear a conversation about missing girls. She worries about Shito, Chika, and their black rings. On her way home, she finds it is already dark. Chika catches up to her and just about scares the life out of her. He tells her to be careful and that she owes him money. After saying she doesn't have money Chika reduces the price and yells at her to bring it tomorrow. Confused, Michiru follows him, only to find out that Shito and Chika are switching hands.
After being spotted, Shito decides the only way to deal with Michiru is to kill her. They are interrupted by a zombie. Michiru watches them send the zombie, then explains she came to warn them about their black rings before she turns around and runs off.
The next morning Michiru is volunteered as Chika's gopher and is dragged to the Z-Loan office where it is explained that they are zombies and that is why they have black rings. They want Michiru's help in finding more people with black rings. After many mistakes on Michiru’s part on finding people with black rings, the three take a break where they have a heart felt discussion.
It ends with Michiru saying she's not strong enough to continue. Shito doesn't react in his sweet demeanor, he's quite harsh in fact. Michiru is stunned, she returns home and bathes. Only to notice she has the start of a black ring herself.
After returning home she locks herself in her room, Shito and Chika visit her and CHika schold her for being contradictoy to herself. Then tells her that she ows him 500 yen plus 50,000,000 yen in interest. After the boys leave she is determined to stay in her room to avoid her impending death until she gets a call from her friend, Yumi's mother. She decides she will help the two Zombies out anyways.
At the school, Shito, Chika and Michiru find the zombie responsible for the students who were reported missing. The school nurse turned out to be an illegal zombie.
Shito and Chika defeat the nurse and guide her spirit, but they are injured in battle. This is not a big problem for Shito and Chika since they are zombies and Yuuta can heal them. However, Michiru who is human could die from her wounds.
She is sure that this was destiny and is about to give up, but it turns out that she survived with some help from Z-Loan. She now had a debt to pay to Z-Loan but she was able to survive without becoming a zombie and only losing one of her pigtails. She later cuts the other one to even out her hair and this is where her new shorter hair style comes from.
Feeling that she shouldn't settle for things so easily, Michiru decides to try a little harder at life and make the best of things. She moves out of her aunt and uncle's house and goes in search of a new place to live.
